I'm Steve and I am an EPOS System Administrator for Harts of Stur. I have a strong passion for efficiently managing and organising data to drive optimal business outcomes. With a proven track record of implementing effective data management strategies, I am committed to ensuring that essential information is accurate and accessible.
My experience in working with various systems and tools has equipped me with the skills to analyse and interpret data, identify discrepancies, and implement solutions to improve data quality. I am constantly seeking out new technologies and techniques to streamline processes and enhance data integrity.
What sets me apart is my ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and operations, to understand their data needs and deliver customized solutions. My strong communication and interpersonal skills have allowed me to effectively bridge the gap between technical and non-technical team members.
I take pride in my attention to detail and my commitment to meeting deadlines, ensuring that projects are completed on time and with the highest level of accuracy. My adaptability and problem-solving mindset allow me to thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing environments.
Harts has been established for over 96 years and now has extensive premises built on the original site where the founder, the late Walter Hart, was Sturminster Newton’s local Blacksmith. As a fourth generation business, Harts is one of the UK’s largest instore and online retailers of cookware, kitchenware and kitchen electrics, stocking a comprehensive range at competitive prices.
Together with KCPOS and Enhanced we embark on the installation of our new EPOS system, integrating directly with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to provide real-time data across the business, linking our EPOS till system, accounts software, stock control and ecommerce sales in one place.
This is a very exciting time for everyone at Harts of Stur and will enable faster transactions for our customers, streamlined operations, real time tracking of stock levels and better business insights through improved product traceability and sales reporting.

As part of my continued learning and development I have recently completed a Teams Essentials course scoring 96% in the final exam and have started to study fundamentals in Microsoft Excel to further my knowledge and skill.
